Café Jeudi Bar is a modest, neighborhood coffee spot tucked into the vibrant Berlin district at Gierkepl. 11. This cafe feels like a quiet nook to recharge amid the city’s hustle, where the focus is clearly on well-crafted coffee and approachable, homemade desserts.

The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, marked by a slightly worn-in feel that adds a touch of local character rather than polish. You might find yourself settling in near the piano bar, a casual setting that welcomes solo visitors, friends catching up, or even families with children. The presence of a resident cat adds a homely, lived-in vibe that’s endearing to repeat visitors.

When it comes to the coffee, the espresso drinks—especially the macchiato—are consistently praised for hitting the right balance, catering well to those who appreciate a solid, no-fuss cup. The cappuccino paired with their apple-marzipan cake is a noted combination, suggesting a sweetness that feels rooted in simple, seasonal ingredients rather than something overly sweetened or refined.

Staff here come off as genuinely friendly and multilanguage-capable, though the owner’s initial seriousness gives way to a quietly warm and humorous side once you get to know him. This dynamic contributes to the relaxed rhythm of the place, where you might find yourself chatting with the baristas as much as enjoying your drink.

Best times to visit are likely in the afternoon or early evening, when the cafe is calm enough to ease into a break but lively enough to feel connected. It suits those who want a straightforward coffee experience without flair but with a touch of local personality. Whether you’re popping in for a quick espresso on a solo wander or settling down for cake and conversation, Café Jeudi Bar delivers a genuine slice of Berlin’s everyday coffee culture.

Great little coffee bar! I looveeee the espresso macchiato it’s always spot on. The owner might seems serious at first but he’s actually super friendly and funny . 10/10 if you love good coffee like I do!

We randomly chose this place to have coffee and dessert after work. When we arrived, unfortunately, there were no desserts, but the owners kindly invited us backstage and let us choose desserts. The coffee here is great, as are the pastries. The place itself is a bit shabby, but that adds to its uniqueness

Lovely atmosphere and friendly multi-lingual owner. We enjoyed being there for coffee and cake as a family with young children, sitting at the piano bar, and will be back without the kids for some champers.
